It is a self-contained unit with the electronics in the upper section and the distilled water reservoir in the lower section and is ready to operate once you fill with water and plug it into an outlet. Each unit has a built-in circulating fan, which is on all the time to assure that air is always moving in the controlled space. The humidity control is factory set at 70% RH, but is fully adjustable to suit your needs. When the humidity drops below the desired level, a red LED light turns on, and the control blower turns on to replace the humidity. The remote digital control display has a six foot extension that can be located wherever the user wishes to mount.
